Art apps on the ipad 1. LetterMpress

City Life.
Armed with my trusty iPad original and a screenfull of arty apps I could not resist, I have decided to try each one out in turn.  Some will output images too small for even a postcard, but it will be fun anyway.
This one is made in LetterMpress which is tricky at first but I love the results.  Watch out though, it is a great time-eater.
Output was by email, PNG, 1446 x 2048 pixels on the iPad 1.  There does seem to be a clear background PNG option, but I haven't found it yet (this was my first try).  You can also print, copy, save to photo album or send to Facebook and Tumblr.

Devon Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Watercolour sketches of cottages in Devon (can you guess that it is one of my favourite places?).

Chilli chocolate

Mmm. It may be obvious that chillies and chocolate are on my list of excellent things. So I was very happy to find some Baruzzo Chilly Pepper Dark Chocolate under the tree (thanks, Annie). In the interests of science I feel compelled to try all varieties of chilli choc, although most are disappointing. The Baruzzo bar has a good snapping texture and smooth rich taste, and best of all is indeed tongue tinglingly warm. The best I've tasted so far, although if you are a chocolate maker and would like me to try your version, please feel free to contact me. Really, please do.
